Henry Schaeffer May 5, 2017 - Just received word from Henry's nephew that he has died- no details yet. Softspoken, gentle Buddhist early Suzuki then close Trungpa student. - dc May 6 - Learned a little more. Howie Klein talked to Henry's friend Donna who answered his cell phone. She said he had been anemic and lost weight. Maybe "failure to thrive." Old light show operator Bill Hamm called the City Center and reported Henry's passing. His shop was in a garage near the old Bush Street zendo at Sokoji and some of us would stop and chat with him. Henry lived in that neighborhood for years and was was close to Hamm. Howie's calling Henry's friends and a rinpoche he was close to. Walter Fordham of the Chronicle of CTR (Trungpa) wrote back he'd post something soon.
