Appointment book and diary upon Suzuki's arrival in the US

Datebook - 1959

The date book Suzuki brought with him from Japan when he first came in May of 1959 and made some entries, but he really wasn't a datebook type guy and there's not much there. It has entries from that trip and his first months here.

Selected pages from the Week Diary (1.6 MB). I like this one because the first thing we see is the name of Sam Lewis, Sufi Sam, whom I didn't know he'd ever met. - dc.

Separated out from the original scan for this book - some writing that's marked by someone as from this book- maybe Gil Fronsdal - but it's not part of the book. Maybe some pages that were stuck in there. I wonder if Gil still has the book. - dc 3-17
